The men's tennis team lost their match to the Pratt Institute Cannoneers on Saturday, April 15, by a final score of 7-2. The Warriors entered the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) contest coming off a great team victory against Webb Institute. The loss drops the Warriors' record to 1-2 in the HVIAC and 1-3 overall.
Vaughn College struggled to earn points against the tough Pratt Institute Cannoneers men's tennis team. Despite the Warriors being unable to win any of their doubles matches, Ousmane Thioune (East Elmhurst, NY) and Sebastian Valencia (Quito Pichincha, FC) defeated their number five and six singles opponents to uplift the morale of the Warriors.
The men's tennis team will look to regroup and get back in the win column when they face HVIAC rival Berkeley College. The two teams will play at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Center on Wednesday, April 19, at 8 p.m.
